Most things in life have to be learned. You can do things naturally but you've had to learn how to talk, behave, eat, dress, etc. Some people take all things for granted and have an attitude of knowing it all but in fact there are always new things that we have to learn in the area of our relationships. If you think you know everything about Church or about God you may end up losing your faith and even your salvation. In a race athletes can start well and run in the first positions but sometimes they give up and don't cross the finish line.

Today I want to talk about something really important for your spiritual growth, for a better relationship with God and others and to enhance your life at all levels.

The ancients understood that the world of dreams opens a channel of communication between mankind and the spiritual world, and opens sleepers to a different realm from the one they manage during the day. The ancients dared to imagine, moreover, that this mysterious communication is one venue in which God's messages come to us. They knew too that this kind of communication is not obvious. It requires interpretation.

Today we are going to learn about one of the most remarkable dreams in the Holy Scripture. Jacob's Dream changed the course of his life and established a foundation for future generations of worshipers.

John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

When the builders of a proposed bridge across the Niagara Falls began construction many years ago, the first matter at hand was how to span the river w/ the suspension cables. Launching a simple kite, the builders were able to get a thin string across. Using the string, they drew a rope across, which was followed by a larger rope, then a small cable, and finally a cable heavy enough to use as support in building the bridge. When it was completed, the huge structure, that could support a train, showed no signs of having once been launched by a simple kite!

5th Grader games are played by a single contestant, who attempts to answer ten questions (plus a final bonus question). Content is taken from elementary school textbooks. Notably, upon getting an answer incorrect or deciding to prematurely end the game, the contestant must state that they are not smarter than a 5th grader.

Now, let me give you some background. In the show they ask adults questions that they would have learned in fifth grade or before. Some examples:

1. THE FLOW OF THE ANNOINTING BUILDS A NEW CHURCH

Genesis 28: 17 He was afraid and said, How to be feared and reverenced is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gateway to heaven!18 And Jacob rose early in the morning and took the stone he had put under his head, and he set it up for a pillar (a monument to the vision in his dream), and he poured oil on its top [in dedication]. 19 And he named that place Bethel [the house of God]; but the name of that city was Luz at first.

1. This is the first time that I can find in the Bible a mention to the anointing being poured. Jacob poured the anointing in the form of oil over a pillar of stone after he received a vision from the Lord.

I started this message by teaching on how we can "feel" the presence of God. This is something that happens when we receive His Holy Spirit. Being filled or baptized in the Spirit means that we opened ourselves to His presence and when we have full conscience of God's presence we can suddenly "feel" his presence. This has to be received as a gift from God. People have feelings and when we live far from God we still can have a sense of right and wrong or we can have unexplainable feelings about places, situations or people. We called a "good vibration" or a "bad vibe". This is nothing to compare with the gift of living a supernatural way of life. When you are filled with His Spirit something unexplainable happens.

There are two parts to the will of God.

• Alignment—The surrender of your will to God
• Assignment—God's will planned for you

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Rom. 12:1–2 NKJV).
